Introduction of Ceramic Fiber Blanket

Jun 22, 2023

Ceramic fiber blanket, also known as alumina-silica fiber blanket, is called ceramic fiber blanket because one of its main components is alumina, which is also the main component of porcelain. It is mainly divided into ceramic fiber blowing blanket and ceramic fiber spun blanket. The ceramic fiber spun blanket has longer fiber length, making it superior in insulation performance. Most insulation pipeline constructions use ceramic fiber spun blankets.

Ceramic fiber blanket is made of alumina silicate ceramic fiber filament by special double-sided needling process. The double-sided needle process greatly improves the interlacing degree, anti-delamination performance, tensile strength, and surface smoothness of the fibers. The fiber blanket does not contain any organic binders to ensure that the ceramic fiber blanket has good formability and stability under high and low temperature conditions. The product is white, with uniform dimensions, and integrates fire resistance, thermal insulation, and insulation. It does not contain any binding agents. When used for a long time in neutral and oxidizing atmospheres, it can still maintain good tensile strength, toughness, and fiber structure. Its temperature resistance ranges from 950-1,430℃.

Ceramic fiber blanket not only has good fire resistance and insulation performance during use, but also has excellent chemical stability and thermal stability, making it an ideal product in insulation and refractory materials.
